Team-Teach 6 Hour Foundation Course
Target Audience:
Low risk Service Setting working with adults and children who display challenging behaviour. (Mainstream Secondary/Primary Schools, Nurseries, Children's Hospitals, Children/Adult Respite Care, Elderly Care etc),
Course Description:
Nationally accredited via Team-Teach this covers a range of topics surrounding behaviour management. The training offers a holistic approach for both staff and services
This is organised into 8 modules:
Module 1 - Background to Team-Teach - Understanding the 'holistic approach'.
Module 2 - The Legal Framework - Review of current legislation (service
specific).
Module 3 - Understanding Aggression and conflict.
Module 4 - How Feelings Drive Behaviours.
Module 5 - De-escalation and Defusing Aggressive Situations.
Module 6 - Personal Safety.
(limited to low risk services - for more violent situations please refer
to our 12 Hour Basic Course)
Module 7 - Physical Intervention..
(low level guiding and escorting safety - if a great degree of holding
is required please refer to the 12 Hour Basic Course)
Module 8 - Repair, Reflection and Review.
Participants will receive a Course Workbook and a Certificate.
Certification for this course is valid for 36 months.
